- fixed wrong teamkill/teamdestroy messages
- spectator can fly through structures
- added team balancing
- fixed aliens can build when Overmind not fully constructed yet
- removed resolution scale from graphic settings
- fixed crashing when changing custom graphic settings
- added mouse invert into settings
- added mission objectives info
- temporary disabled server logging output
- fixed counter at end game screen (Next map in -01)
- fixed spectator slowdown
- fixed collisions in center of rotating doors for structures
- classes in scoreboard are visible only for teammates and spectators
- sniffing effect duration was extended from 1 to 10 seconds
- grenade is less bouncy
- temporarily turned on friendly buildable fire off
- fixed base is powered when RC/OM is not fully built
- added flood filter into chat
- fixed Tube playing attack animation when OM is deconstructed while Tube attacking
- fixed displaying energy sign above alien structures built far away from main base in constructing phase
- fixed pushing teammates by ghost spawn structures with "don't block spawn" feature

Changes:
- server browser contains also player counts, map name and server version
- increased weight and air control for Narbatucker, Adv Narbatucker, Pum
- increased Adv Pum weight
- end table records are read only
- smaller Turret collision
- removed pushing players by Turret rotation
- moved Turret shooting source more to center (now can shoot aliens on top of Turret)
- increased human jump (possibility to jump over Turret)
- fixed grammar in main menu text
- decreased step height for all aliens (can't walk over Turret)
- Grabit's acid bomb is less bouncy
- increased pounce hit volume
- fixed Pum not pouncing some buildings
- lowered camera for Pum, Adv Pum
- longer Pum pounce range
- Pum and Adv Pum can pounce in way of looking (not only in way of moving + looking)
- default screenmode is fullscreen windowed
- only Boxfield and Tension maps are in rotation

Now when we did most of work with converting Rotcannon and Mission One by hand :) But maybe would be interesting to convert exactly original. Someday.

Maybe it will be handy for someone.

News / IndieGoGo campaign for future development

Hello,

some of you asked me how to support Murnatan so now you can do it there: IdieGoGo

Few notes:
1)
I played Murnatan last two days until four o'clock in the morning. We (devs) previously tested that game but only slightly and with max 5 players. In that player count you will not know if it will be good or not. But now with 18 players it was really fun. It is really something that I wanted to create.
I was surprised to see all that old known nicknames from old times. I did not expected that these players still playing :) Also your feedback and suggestions are very good. Well, thanks.

Money from campaign will be used for development, not for what we done so far.

Priorities:
We need to fix atleast crash bugs.

Next we need atleast one dedicated server for gaming - currently I hosting it at home - when I start googling, you will start lagging :) But thanks to you we have now more servers where to play.

Then I would like to implement support for mods to open it for your creations (maps).

And many many other plans, described in campaign.

Most important questions:
What if we get no money?
We would like to fix atleast biggest bugs and crashes. Then development will be paused with occasionall updates (when I will have time and if I will be cappable to develop something alone).

Then I will have to find job/business and get some money also for myself, life, food and so on.

And then when I will gather requested money from job/business then I will get team together again and we will finally finish Murnatan. But that can took several years.

What if we get only part of money?
In that case we spent it into development and we do what we can for that amount. Game will not be completely finished but will be done what can be.

What if we get all the money?
Then I will wake up :) With that we will start full development again and we will finish it.

- reduced shadow quality by default
- linux server scripts converted to unix format
- fixed Mur/Adv Mur instakills in Boxfield
- fixed Mur self hit possibility
- fixed HP access for dead body
- fixed wall, ceiling and elevator kills in Tension map
- locked doors in PraeGelidus map
- fixed broken collision in PraeGelidus map

I hope it will be more stable now and we will be finally cappable to finish Tension map :)

BTW, if you see some wrong english in game, just fill bugreport in bugtracker.

Finally you can see what we did so far :) Murnatan is released on Steam and is avaiable for Windows and Linux.

Currently is completely free.

Hello,

is there anyone who have spare pc/server for Murnatan server? It would be good to run atleast one game server in USA and one in EU.

It should be windows or linux server (currently we testing linux version of game server).

Requirements:
- good internet connection
- public ip
- run 24/7
- free :)

Run own server / How to start Murnatan server

Run local LAN server (is not visible in server browser)
1) Go to server directory (i.e.: c:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Murnatan\Murnatan-server)
2) Doubleclick on run_and_not_publish_server.bat

Then connect to 127.0.0.1:7777 or other players on same LAN for example to something like 192.168.0.123:7777


Run public server (is visible in server browser for anyone)
1) Go to server directory (i.e.: c:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Murnatan\Murnatan-server)
2) Edit "run_and_publish_server.bat" file and type your server name and password. For example this:

set serverName=Unnamed murserver
set ownerPassword=aaaaa

change for example to:

set serverName=Grangeromania
set ownerPassword=mySecretPassword

3) Save it under different name (i.e.: run_and_publish_server_edited.bat)
4) Doubleclick on run_and_publish_server_edited.bat

Info: "ownerPassword" has to be atleast 5 characters long password which will identify your server in server browser.


Port forwarding
For access for other players to your server over internet you have to do port forwarding port number 7777.


Server requirements
For hosting on windows we used low cost computer Fujitsu-Siemens Esprimo E7935 SFF, Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3,16 GHz, 4 GB RAM DDR2. With +-10 players it take +-15 % CPU and +-800 KB/s upload (server name: R Home CZ).


Download Linux server binary
Download ServerLinux0.1.577.zip
If you updating server, do not use old run script. Use new one and configure it again. This will be solved in future but now it is needed. If you will use old script then in server browser will be visible old version next to your server.

If you have Steam installed then server binary is automatically downloaded next to game directory.

Report bugs / Crashes

1) Download and install Visual Studio Community 2017 for free.
2) Run game client (or server if you want to catch server crash).
3) In Visual Studio select menu "Debug" and "Attach to process..."
4) Select Murnatan-Shipping.exe with title and click on "Attach" button.
5) When crash happen, click on "break" button, make window "Call Stack" bigger (to see everything) and take screenshot of full Visual Studio window.
6) Add bug to bugtracker, attach this screenshot and describe how to replicate crash or what you did before crash.

What to describe
1) Version of game. You can find it in left bottom corner of game (when you are spawned in map).
2) How to reproduce bug. If you cannot reproduce it, report it ONLY when it happens repeatedly.

Logs
Is good to attach log. You can generate logs from Client or Server by adding -log parameter when you starting Client or Server (i.e. Murnatan.exe -log).

1) first popular question: How much will it cost?
After long time we decided to change one very important aspect of game. And that is price. Murnatan will be free for everyone 8)

But this nice change have one dark side. That side is one reason why Tremulous died. What is it?: griefers. When game is free then anyone can play it and anyone can ruin games (team kills, team base kills, deconning, ghosting, blocking...) just for "fun". That player can be banned but because of game is free then nothing stops him to create another account and continue with griefing.

We are prepared for these griefers and we will eliminate this dark side. How? By good admin system and with good server features for server owners. So don't worry.

2) second popular question: When it will be released?
Release is planned to: 6/2017

But expect alpha version where some things can work not so good.

And in 12/2017 is planned to release in-game shop.

we passed Greenlight just in 7 days  :o :) It was unbelievable fast. We have to thank you for voting for this game, so: Thank you!!

And what now? Now we need to integrate Steam and make few other changes and then - we will finally can start to play :)

It is still not the final version, but is fully playable game. We already did few good fights and with more players it will be even better :)
