Pretty eager to play this game myself.  At the same time though, I am tired of seeing all of the half-working, money-grubbing, pre-alpha, bait-and-switching piles of garbage up for early access on Steam lately.

Like they say, "do it right, or do it twice".

I can still be patient.  Some day we'll be able to bring back the ole' clan again, this time better than ever.

A detailed status update would definitely be nice though.

That is really hard to say... Maybe something like:

Maps: 5 %
Humans/Guns 80 %
Vehicles: 0 %
Aliens: 60 %
Buildings: 90 %

We have big list of features but not all features will be in first release, so hard to say in percent.

...And aliens.

Sounds like we're just over halfway there.

The maps and vehicles can both be developed during an alpha stage though, so we could possibly expect a 6-18 month alpha+beta period before final release, depending on how much detail goes into the maps and how many vehicles are introduced.

Alpha would also be a good time to look into Steam Early Access for the sake of publicity.

I'm curious to know if many of the aliens have been modeled and textured, or if most of them are still being tweaked in the concept stages.

Axl: We working on short video, it will show atleast some features and current dev stage.

Machine Medic: Most of aliens are still in concept stages (visually). This is probably one of the most difficult things on this game.

If everything will continue ok then first release should be avaiable in 6 months and we should work on it also next several years to bring all features to live, kill all bugs and balance it.

Are you guys planning on using a service like Mantis bug tracker during alpha/beta stages?

Machine Medic: We wanted to use Mantis, it should be best from free bugtrackers, but we got errors immediatelly after instalations (there was hardcoded paths to /var/something) and only one fix was to start fixing source code. And also it is very ugly and looks complicated for common bug-reporter :)

So we decided to use good old Flyspray which is simple and nice. It is already prepared here http://bugtracker.murnatan.com but currently is still locked so nobody can add anything.

BTW, is very hard to find free bugtracker with unlimited users, with good design, without big bugs, with simple look and for PHP.
